This Element Optics Nexus Gen II 4-25x50 rifle scope takes the design of the original Nexus and takes it to the next level. It has an improved zoom, there are new turrets and it has a digitally illuminated reticle. For the original Nexus, Element Optics worked together closely with a number of experienced and professional shooters and they did the exact same thing when designing this follow-up. And, just like before, they’ve hit the mark in terms of excellent quality for a very competitive price.
The Nexus Gen II rifle scope by Element Optics has an objective with a diameter of 50 mm to promote a proper light transmission. This means that there’ll always be enough light coming into the scope to properly scope your target, even in low-light situations. Something that also plays a large part in efficiently scoping your target, is the magnification. This rifle scope has a magnification of 4-25x and because of this, the Element Optics Nexus Gen II 4-25x50 scope is perfectly suited for aiming over mid-length to long distances. Magnifying is a rather smooth affair thanks to the magnification wheel on the eyepiece, but using the throw lever will make it even smoother and more convenient. You will receive a throw lever with the rifle scope and you can use it to increase the ease of use for the magnification wheel. The eyepiece has an eye relief of 77-92 mm.
With this rifle scope, you will have the choice of two different reticles and you can even choose between MRAD and MOA. Whichever one you choose, the reticle is always situated on the first focal plane. This means it will zoom in as you magnify, so it will always show the proper distances. The reticle is even illuminated, which means it will remain perfectly visible, regardless of the lighting circumstances. You can choose between no less than ten different brightness levels. Activating the illuminated reticle can be done by keeping the button on top of the parallax turret pressed in. Switching between the different brightness levels can be done by pressing the button once. The rifle scope uses a CR2032 battery to power the illuminated reticle. That battery is easily accessible by unscrewing the cap on top of the parallax turret.
The turrets on this Element Optics Nexus Gen II 4-25x50 rifle scope are redesigned from its predecessor. There’s a cap placed over the windage turret, which protects it from the elements. The elevation turret and the windage turret both have an adjustment of 0.1 MRAD/1/4 MOA per clearly audible click, allowing you to easily and accurately adjust them. There’s a revolution indicator located just below the elevation turret, which indicates what rotation you’re in. As a result, you will know how to adjust the turret at a glance. Naturally, the rifle scope has a zero-stop mechanism as well.
